heroine Ileana who got the chance to act with Superstar Rajnikanth
On the other hand, heroine Tabu will the second heroine in this movie. But she will not be the heroine to Rajnikanth and she will be the heroine to Jagapathi Babu, the second hero of Kucheludu.
Kucheludu is a bi-lingual movie being made in both tamil and telugu. Rajnikanth is the hero and Nayanatara is the heroine. P Vasu is directing the movie while Ashwini Dutt is producing it in telugu. Jagapathi Babu is playing a vital role in the telugu version.
Marriage is on cards for Saif-Kareena

Mumbai, Feb 2 (IANS) Saif Ali Khan has solemnised his affections for Kareena Kapoor in an unexpected way. He has got her name tattooed on his arm.
Admitting for the first time to the permanent love mark, Saif told IANS, "Yes, I've tattooed her name. It's on my forearm. And very visible to the world."
According to friends of both, he has never been more committed in a relationship. Marriage is definitely on the cards.
A close friend said: "There's a kind of fierce and single-minded determination in Saif to make this relationship work for keeps. And it isn't a defiant determination to disprove the cynics who say it won't last. Saif doesn't give a damn about what people say. He has always gone by his gut feelings, regardless of others.
"Earlier, after Rosa left, there were whispers of Saif being involved with various ladies. Saif doesn't like the image of the Casanova at all. He thinks he's too grown up for it. He wants stability in his life and a relationship that's for keeps. He believes he has found it in Kareena. Come what may, Saif will make this relationship work."
Earlier, when the couple were together in Bangkok shooting for Kunal Kohli's film, Saif's co-star Rani Mukerji was privy to many sessions of his outpourings on his love.
Kareena and Saif then brought in the New Year in Hong Kong with Saif's two children.
Now shooting in Greece for Yash Raj Films' "Tashan", Saif and Kareena spend as much time together as possible, oblivious to all around, though they don't have too many scenes together in the film.

At the moment, Vidya Balan has only one assignment, Aziz Mirza's Kismat Connection. "And it's very different from every thing I've done so far. That's how I like it. I don't want to get repetitive so early in my career."
She played Ajay Devgan's supportive wife in the recently-released Halla Bol and feels proud of the work, no matter what its box-office outcome. "Whether it's the amnesiac wife in Salaam-e-Ishq, the schizophrenic wife in Bhool Bhulaiyaa or the fiercely supportive wife of a philandering star in Halla Bol, I'm equally proud and possessive of all my films, no matter how they perform at the box-office."
Vidya Balan who started her career with a Bengali film, is returning to her roots. "I feel I was Bengali in my last life. In fact, when Ritu-da offered me a Hindi film I shocked him by requesting him to do a Bengali film with me."
Though Vidya's Rahgeer (a take on Vijay Anand's Guide) with Rituparno Ghosh opposite Akshay Kumar didn't work out, Vidya and Akshay have become a hit jodi. "Inshan Allah, if all goes well, Akshay and I will sign another film together this year. But my big kick in 2008 is the Bengali film. And it's with Gautam Haldar, the same director with whom I did my career's very first film Bhalo Theko in Bengali. I really wanted to do another Bengali film because that's where my acting career started. Even my first Hindi film Parineeta was very Bengali in ambience."
Vidya is excited about the return to her a cinema she loves dearly. "I play a character called Hashi. And Tanujaji is also in the film with me. I'm aware she has done loads of Bengali films in the past. And she's one of the actresses I truly admire. So I'm really excited about the film."
"My first release before even Parineeta was a Bengali film. It's like coming home for me. Kolkata is home for me. I sincerely wanted to do it. This is my way of saying thank you to the film industry. It welcomes me at a time when I had no place in the Hindi film industry. I've always been fascinated by the land of Ray. It was a dream to have done a role in a Bengali as my very first film." Even her character in Bhool Bhulaiyaa was eminently Bengali. "Yes and I worked so hard on the character…Awards nominations? I'd love to get the awards. I thought the kids would hate me after that frightening role. It did scare them. And I'm glad as I was meant to do that. Fortunately, they recall me by the breezy radio-jockey's character in Lage Raho Munnabhai."
Why isn't she in any of the big banners in Bollywood? "I crave to work with all of them. And I'm sure it'll happen at the right time. Sometimes you strive hard for something and it doesn't happen. Like I wanted to do another Bengali film. While I was trying it didn't happen. When I stopped trying it happened."
The one wish she'd like granted this year? "You mean apart from doing another Bengali film? I'd like to be loved all the time. And can I get one more wish? I wish all my films would do well. In my recent lot Salaam-e-Ishq and Halla Bol didn't. But I really loved working in both. And I'm proud of them."
Shah Rukh, Kareena add glamour to Balaji awards nite
The Future Group Global Indian TV Honours event on Friday night at the Andheri Sports Complex, in northwest Mumbai, also had Lara Dutta, Suniel Shetty and Karan Johar adding to the Bollywood presence.
Shah Rukh came to the function not because he had begun his acting career on television. He came as a Bollywood superstar and proved it when he presented an inimitable act at the function.
Balaji honoured him for being the best anchor in the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 3.
Siddharth Basu, who put together the show for Star Plus, announced at the function that Shah Rukh would again host the show that is to be telecast soon.
While Lara Dutta came to perform at the show, Suneil Shetty conferred the Global India TV Honour to Karan Johar, whose chat show Koffee With Karan (Season 2) was adjudged as the Best Talk Show of 2007.
Karan and Ekta Kapoor, the owner of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, broke into an impromptu jig on the stage together. Later, both did a short spoof on Koffee With Karan when Ekta interviewed him.
"What will be the title if he ever made a serial on Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham with Shah Rukh Khan heading the cast?" Ekta asked. Karan replied: Kabhi Saas, Kabhi Devdas.
The next question: "If you roped in all the Khans of Bollywood for a serial, what title will you give to it? "Khan-Dan", Karan quipped.
Bollywood's star turnout was also the biggest at Ekta's show. Most of them were called up on stage to confer the honours, unlike in other television award functions where TV artistes hand over awards to one another.
The Bollywood touch added glamour to her show and made it all the more alluring.
Perhaps, the head honcho of Balaji Telefilms planned it that way. Otherwise why would she choose to confer an honour on Kareena Kapoor at a television function.
Kareena's tantalising presence in red sari and backless blouse as she sashayed to the stage to accept the award from Jeetendra and Raakesh Roshan fetched loud cheers. Boyfriend Saif Ali Khan was there among the audience cheering lustily.
Is Karisma following Kajol's footsteps?
Now, Karisma seems to be executing the same 'game plan'. The actress after shooting for Khaitan fans and ICI Dulux was spotted shooting for an ad campaign for 'Utsav' jewellery in a suburban Mumbai five star hotel.
We hear that Karisma, who is in perfect shape, has been doing ads just to ensure that she is not away from the public eye for too long as that might make her a little apprehensive to get back to the big screen.
Karisma's fans are eagerly awaiting her return to films, more so after seeing her sizzle in Om Shaanti Om . However the actress still seems to be in two minds about her comeback.
When we recently bumped into the actor at an award function we couldn't help but probe her on the issue. A humble Karisma replied, "I am doing ads and spending quality time with my daughter Samaira as of now. I have never denied that I would make a comeback. It's just that I am waiting for the right script. I can't accept anything that comes my way after having worked in the industry for so long."
Kajol's comeback venture Fanaa wasn't as a huge a hit as it was expected to be and Madhuri's comeback film Aaja Nachle failed to impress. Is that why Karisma is being extra picky, and silently waiting her turn?

Mumbai, (IANS) Ayesha Takia is shooting down roles that require her to wear skimpy clothes or get intimate with her co-star because she doesn’t want to embarrass her family and boyfriend.
Ayesha is aware that her more uninhibited colleagues are benefiting while she refuses to get bold on camera.
“But I don’t mind losing out on roles. At least 10 years from now I don’t want to look back and cringe at anything. I’ve a family and a boyfriend. And I don’t want to embarrass anyone,” Ayesha, who was recently seen in “Sunday” in a clean role, told IANS.
“There’re things that I wouldn’t do, like kiss and wear certain kinds of clothes. And yes that does put me at a disadvantage. But I’m very happy with the work that I’m getting. After ‘Dor’, I’m being taken seriously as an actress.”
She said no to Nagesh Kukunoor, who made “Dor”.

'I'm working with Akshay Kumar in Nagesh Kukunoor's supernatural-psychological thriller Tasveer. Then I've Prabhu Deva's Wanted, an action film with Salman Khan. Here I don't have much to do. I hang around doing whatever leading ladies do - sing, dance and purse my lips when the hero fights.'
Candid in her self-assessment, she sees a boyfriend as no impediment to her career.
'In fact, I'm so glad Farhan is no part of the industry. And that he's a self-made man who loves me for who I am. I don't think having a boyfriend is any problem for a career.
'The only annoying part of having a boyfriend is that every time I've a release I'm informed by the press that I'm getting married in two months. It irritates me. When I get married I'll announce it from the rooftops. I'm proud of my boyfriend.'
Last year she had a rough patch when Salaam-e-Ishq and No Smoking bombed.
'Everyone kept asking why I reappeared in No Smoking in a double role. I'd like all questions about that film to be directed to Anurag Kashyap. I've no clue. It was a small role, just 10 days' work. I'd do another film for Anurag anytime. He's a friend.'

Isha poised to be fifth time lucky
For young Isha Sharvani, her career has been waiting to take off in a big way in spite of being in the industry for more than 3 years.
After making a high profile debut in Kisna (2005), one would have expected Isha's career to sky rocket. Unfortunately that didn't quite happen with the film flopping miserably at the box office. A few more failed attempts later in the form of Darwaza Bandh Rakho (2006), Rocky - The Rebel (2006) and Good Boy Bad Boy (2007), it has been a forgettable Bollywood outing for Isha so far.
However, for the pretty girl, picture abhi baaki hai, because she would be seen in a strong supporting role in upcoming U, Me Aur Hum. Though Isha has played a leading lady in each of her 4 films so far, this would be her first ever outing where someone else (in this case Kajol) would find herself in the spotlight.
Still, a hit film is a hit film, regardless of whether an actor is seen in a lead or a supporting role. With U, ME AUR HUM looking good and generating positive vibes, Isha can hope (and pray) that her recent role change brings on her luck for her and proves to be a much fruitful outing.
Neha has a Double Bill this February
This wasn't something which even Neha Dhupia would have ever imagined or bargained for but the situation today is that the 'Julie' of Bollywood would be having two back to back releases this February.
Come 1st February and she would be seen on the big screen in Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaa. Delayed by around 3 months, this film which comes form the makers of Tom, Dick And Harry, is a comedy with centered on the theme of extra marital affairs. Rajpal Yadav plays Neha Dhupia's philandering husband in the film. Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaa also stars Ashish Chaudhary and Amrita Arora.
A week later Neha would be seen as a solo leading lady in Mithya. In this Rajat Kapoor directed film, she is paired opposite Ranvir Shorey. This 8th February release is also a comedy though with elements of thrills in it.
Incidentally both Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaa and Mithya were completed earlier last year but are getting ready for release only now.

What is common between the two films which release in a fortnight from now i.e. 8th February? Well, both Superstar and Mithya have Bollywood as the central element with their lead protagonists aspiring to be Bollywood stars.
However, apart from the basic germ of the two films, the entire setup, layout, genre and treatment of the two films is poles apart. While Superstar is a complete 'masala' entertainer, Mithya takes a quirky route and follows an offbeat path. Directed by Rohit 'James' Jugraaj, Superstar has Kunal Khemu as the man aspiring to be a superstar. Enacting the first double role of his career, Kunal is said to be playing the dual roles of an aspiring star and an existing star.
On the other hand Ranvir Shorey is the lead protagonist in Rajat Kapoor directed Mithya who is a poor theater actor but believes himself to possess the talent that could make him a popular Bollywood star. The film traces his journey in a comic fashion as instead of becoming a film star, he gets embroiled in underworld dominated by the likes of Naseeruddin Shah, Vinay Pathak and Saurabh Shukla.

Kareena swings in Aruba Island
So no surprises that Kareena's fan base is spread out across the globe. A friend of the actress disclosed recently that when Kareena attended an event of Filmfare that featured her on the cover, a representative from the tourism ministry of the ARUBA ISLAND , an exotic island in the Caribbean, invited her to the Island as a state guest.

Back with a bang: Deepika and Ranbir
If seeing is believing, then one can safely say that Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are back to being friends.
The duo was out and about in Mumbai recently and was later seen looking for a music system at a suburban five-star hotel’s shopping plaza.
Dressed in smart casuals, Deepika and Ranbir were visibly excited doing the sound check of the audio and video products. An onlooker says, “They were keen on having a high-end music system. While Ranbir was stressing on the features, Deepika wanted a user-friendly gadget.”
Deepika and Ranbir were not on talking terms after their short-lived affair, until they patched up recently. The duo came face-to-face and even exchanged greetings while filming in Australia for their yet untitled Yash Raj film, directed by Siddharth Anand. However, they barely socialised, as Deepika was accompanied by her cricketer admirer Yuvraj Singh, and Ranbir was in the constant company of fashion designer Nandita Mahtani.
The duo buried the hatchet some time back when they met each other during a cola commercial shoot with Shah Rukh Khan. That’s when Deepika and Ranbir got talking. Soon thereafter, they started meeting up for dinners and late night coffees.
A source close to Deepika confirms, “Yes, Deepika and Ranbir went out shopping. Deepika wanted to get a high quality music system and Ranbir was helping her out in picking one.” Well, sounds like quite a game of musical chairs. Blow hot, blow cold. But then, that’s what you call a melodious romance, Yashraj-style, right?
